Walking the talk....

Some years ago in Blogosphere, a group of like minded individuals formed the "Libertarian Cartel ". As defined by one of it's members, the "Libertarian Cartel" of the Indian blogosphere is "basically a bunch of bloggers whose first principles are:

a) Individual freedom is absolutely sacred

b) Private property rights are absolutely sacred.

Here are people who choose to strongly voice their beliefs and cement it by aligning with others of the same thought process I thought. One of the members of this group "by invitation only" is Aadisht Khanna. He of the hate and vitriol filled posts like this one.

If to be Libertarian is to support the free market and most importantly, individual libery; shouldn't this philosophy trickle down to supporting individual liberty in all forms? Freedom of speech, thought, action and to blog about whatever you might want to write about. A person could even have a blog devoted to his dog - should that "get the goat" of a self professed libertarian.

The point of this post is that one should walk the talk. Isn't Mr. Khanna going against the very tenets and philosophy of libertarianism by being so openly intolerant and condescending of mothers who also blog.

Read this post of his and you will find that it is in direct violation of the stated principles of Libertarianism.

yeah - i love amit's writing. but whatever. great post Aqua. Unfortunately i dont think there is a point in seriously addressing someone whose entire point is to be irritating, and not to make a serious point. i realised that too late. wouldnt have wasted space and time on responding to the post...

... which is why I pay no attention to any of them so-called A-Listers or members of such cartels. Not even Mr. Verma.

@MM: So true!!! what irked me what the condescending attitude which the post smacked off.

@SWB: I haven't seen an offensive post from Amit ever. i couldn't care less about pompous self righteous bloggers either.

@Bhavya: I see that you are student. Hence am ignoring the utterly ridiculous comment and accusation made by you. grow up first!

I arrived late on the "blogging" scene but I got to read Mr. Khanna's post. It was the first time I was reading him and I wasn't too happy ...you mean to say that he is a popular blogger ?

@TWB: oh no, not at all. i think he got extra coverage thanks to his irritating post.
nuff said about him!

I have often wondered why they needed to form a cartel in the first place ... because there is safety in numbers?

It would be interesting to hear Varma's take on this whole episode, if at all he does say something. I reckon he won't.

(still it does make one want to smack these stupid blokes, doesn't it? )

also MM should hang in there. people just dog her cause she's popular. this guy just cannot stand to see anyone else happy (or popular)!
